Resident Care and Prevention of Accidents

How We Handle Accidents

3. Documentation - Staff complete an incident report documenting: What happened, When and where it occurred, Witnesses, Injuries sustained, Actions taken

4. Investigation - The facility will review: Environmental factors, Staffing circumstances, Equipment issues, Whether policies were followed. The goal is to identify root causes and prevent similar incidents.
